Jewellery Trends 2025

As a fine jewellery designer, I find that while we call these "trends," many of them transcend time, becoming staples that can be cherished for years. At our brand, we pride ourselves on creating pieces that are both fashionable and timeless. In fact, we still adore our 2024 trend predictions! This year, however, brings a fresh perspective with five exciting directions in fine jewellery design.

1. Maximalist Jewellery

For a long time, delicate and understated pieces have dominated the jewellery scene, but in 2025, bold is back. Maximalist jewellery celebrates oversized designs that make a statement. Think large necklaces cascading dramatically, wide bracelets demanding attention, and chunky rings that are impossible to ignore.

In fine jewellery, this trend is a joyous playground. We’re experimenting with larger cluster rings, often crafted using gemstones from sentimental pieces. Imagine repurposing stones from old rings—whether inherited from your grandmother or gifted by loved ones—to create a unique and harmonious design.

It’s about making something bold, beautiful, and deeply personal.

2. Personalised Jewellery Stacks

The demand for personalised jewellery continues to grow, but in 2025, it’s taking on a new dimension—quite literally.

Layering multiple personalised rings or necklaces that each carry meaning adds depth and character to your jewellery collection, creating a deeply individualised and stylish statement.

Quality jewellery that stands the test of time is perfect for stacking. By combining various meaningful pieces, you can create a look that’s entirely your own, telling your story while making a stylish statement.

3. Earthy Tones and Textures

This year, the colour of the year is brown, and it’s influencing the jewellery world in stunning ways. Earthy tones, such as brown and cognac diamonds paired with gold, are leading the charge. While we continue to work with gemstones in every colour of the rainbow, there is an emerging preference for neutral gemstone shades such as whites, browns (cognacs), and blacks, which are often incorporated into jewellery for an elegant and timeless feel.

We anticipate seeing “complex, muddier tones” of pink, purple, green, and yellow, all grounded by earthy bases, adding depth and sophistication to jewellery designs.

Designers are embracing these natural elements not just through colour but also texture. Imagine a signet ring with one side polished smooth and the other left rough to highlight its raw, natural beauty. We’re also seeing textures inspired by nature, such as bark or twig patterns etched into bands, contrasting with plain polished settings for gemstones. These thoughtful contrasts bring an organic and grounded feel to jewellery, making each piece unique.

4. Curves Aren’t Going Anywhere

Curves have been a major trend in interior design, and they’re equally prominent in jewellery. In 2025, we’re seeing more sculptural and curved pieces that exude elegance and modernity.

From curved bands often set with angled gemstones to complement the curves, to bubble-like forms, curved jewellery adds an artistic flair to any collection. Some designs mimic the shapes of melted candle wax or dripping forms, often accented with small, strategically placed diamonds. These pieces feel contemporary yet timeless, embodying a sense of fluidity and movement.

5. Mixed Metals

Mixing metals is no longer just acceptable; it’s a celebrated art form. In 2025, combining gold, silver, and rose gold creates a versatile and modern aesthetic. While some designs incorporate multiple metals in a single piece, layering jewellery in different metal tones is equally effective.

What’s important when mixing metals is harmony. Pieces of similar weight and style work best together, creating a cohesive yet dynamic look. Whether it’s a bracelet stack or a curated ring collection, mixed metals allow for endless creativity.

Embrace boldness, personalisation and nature-inspired beauty!

The jewellery trends for 2025 are about embracing boldness, personalisation, and nature-inspired beauty.

Whether you’re drawn to maximalist designs, earthy textures, or the timeless charm of curves and mixed metals, this year’s trends offer something for everyone. As a designer, I’m excited to see how these styles inspire new creations and cherished heirlooms for years to come.
