But beyond designing pieces that reflect beauty, we are driven by a much greater mission: to equip, inspire, and empower individuals to step into their God-given purpose and make a lasting
difference in the world.
This journey is deeply personal for me. I’ve come to realise that true success is not measured by wealth or size but by the difference we make in people’s lives. This revelation was reinforced at a Focus on the Family talk on Kingdom business, where I was reminded of the importance of excellence in everything we do. The speaker shared a story of his father, a postman, who took immense pride in his work. He carried the “royal mail” with dignity, ensuring that letters arrived dry even in the pouring rain, and he polished the soles of his shoes—not because anyone else would see, but because he would. That kind of excellence, humility, and purpose is what I strive to bring into Minella Jewellery Design and into my life.
One of the most powerful frameworks I’ve encountered in this journey is the Seven Mountains of
Society—the idea that God calls people to different spheres of influence:

Each of us has a mountain where we are uniquely called to bring Kingdom influence. For me that mountain is the business and arts sector, where creativity meets commerce, and where jewellery becomes more than just adornment—it becomes a declaration of purpose. Whether you are called to business, media, or family, understanding your mountain is key to making an impact.
At a crucial point in my life, my mentor handed me a book called The Calling Journey, and it profoundly shaped my understanding of seasons. The book studied thousands of Christians’ lives and identified patterns of mountain and valley seasons—times of success and fulfilment, but also times of waiting, testing, and growth.
Reading this book was a revelation. It helped me recognise where I was in my journey and how to embrace each season. The valleys—often identity-shaping seasons—can feel discouraging, but they are critical for preparing us for what’s ahead. The mountaintops are fulfilling, but they come with responsibility. Knowing where you are allows you to steward the season well.
If you’re in a valley right now, take heart—it’s shaping you. If you’re on a mountaintop, be intentional with your influence. Both seasons have purpose.
At the end of last year, I told my husband, “I have everything I need, but there are two things I deeply desire: to make memories with the people I love and to make an impact.”
Impact doesn’t always mean grand gestures. A story I heard from Dinner Plate deeply resonated with me—about a woman who advised the last seven U.S. presidents. Every night, her father would ask her, “How did you add value today?” This simple yet profound question shaped her life and legacy. Adding value doesn’t have to be big; it just has to be intentional. It could be a kind word, a generous act, or a moment of encouragement. And here’s the truth:
when you add value, resources will follow.
